NACE LOOKS TO HEAT UP THE BAY EVEN BEFORE THE SUMMER WEATHER ARRIVES

 

As the weather warms up in the Bay Area, NACE is creating the hottest event the local catering industry has seen yet -SABOR!

 

NACE (the National Association of Catering Executives) http://www.sanfrancisconace.net is dedicated to helping catering professionals thrive in their art. The association's local San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter has been doing just that for over 20 years, transforming young professionals in the catering and events industry into seasoned veterans, and helping experienced employees become experts. Their annual gala is always a largely anticipated event among the catering and events community and after their last ground breaking gala held at the Intercontinental San Francisco Hotel, the local chapter is looking to set the town a blaze with "SABOR!" a tribute to Spanish and Latin infusion.

The design team is a virtual event "Power House" and at the helm is Michelle Barrionuevo-Mazzini, a prominent Bay Area event designer, with strong Latin roots and owner of MB Wedding Design & Eventshttp://www.mbweddingdesigns.com/ Her insight is certainly going to lend itself to the spice that this event promises. "Latino culture by nature is rich in art and romantic through words and music. Infusing the two, we hope to take you through a journey of our most savored Latin countries, such as Cuba, Spain and Mexico, just to name a few." says Michelle. 

 

With fire and passion Michelle's team is continuing to add subtle and vibrant visible touches to the event's look, feel, and taste. "I'm simply ecstatic to see this team working together. CATERING EXECUTIVES SET OUT TO HEAT UP THE BAY AREA


While the winter season continues to roll cold air through the bay area San Francisco's NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) is spicing things up with a dash of calientè and SABOR!

On April 21st, 2010 at the newly renovated Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco, NACE will be holding their Annual Gala Fundraiser benefitting the San Francisco Food Bank and the Foundation of NACE. After undergoing a series of renovations this classic Marriott property has emerged back in the San Francisco Scene with pizazz and flair. Boasting some serious special event space and gorgeous views the canvas has been set for NACE to really shine.

Coming off the heels of their last incredible Gala Celebration NACE is expected to exceed expectations with the Sabor Gala! The word Sabor in Spanish refers to flavor or taste, an area that is familiar to NACE. The National Association of Catering Executives is the oldest and largest catering association in the world and encompasses all aspects of the catering industry. The association's mission statement is "To provide catering and event professionals superior education, networking and resources to enhance career success and deliver excellence to clients."

Event designer Duncan Reyes of F. Duncan Reyes Events by Design has teamed up with Marlen Abolafia and a vast array of local industry professionals including professional photographers, ice sculptors, graphic designers, wedding planners, and catering managers, to create the one of a kind celebration. Duncan Reyes, a bit of a celebrity in the event design world, is known for his incredible attention to detail, and vast experience in the food and beverage industry. Duncan has often been asked to lend his knowledge and skills as an independent food editor, restaurant critic and a contributing writer for san francisco, chicago and new york media publications.
